Lauren Gantz is an Illustrator and Muralist based in Rockford, Michigan. She studied at Grand Valley State University where she received a BFA in Studio Art with an emphasis in Illustration. She is constantly inspired by beauty within macabre imagery, and the delicate harmony between ethereal and raw. Just like art finds the balance between light and dark, she too is a paradox. Her work reflects contradictory imagery   while creating a cohesive dynamic. 

Lauren, is proficient in multiple mediums, however, her identifying medium is pen and ink. She loves this mediums ability to create intricate detail and depth within a work, and the level of intimacy it can achieve between art and viewer. She has even rendered the ability to integrate the stippling and cross-hatching techniques of pen and ink into large scale works. Laurens works range from Murals, Gallery shows, commission work, etc. She was named as a top 25 artist in ArtPrize 2021.
